JOIN OUR CREW
Work where you play
Spend your winter on the mountain while helping create unforgettable experiences for our guests.
YOU BELONG HERE
Never worked at a ski area? Neither had most of us.
Great Divide runs on friendly people, not resumes. Most of our crew had never worked at a ski area before their first day — some had never even skied. We’ll teach you everything you need to know before the lifts start spinning.
If you like being around people who are having the best day of their winter, you’re already qualified for something here.
✓ College students
We’ll build a schedule around your classes — and your powder days.
✓ High school students
A first job on a mountain beats a first job anywhere else. Weekend and holiday shifts fit around school.
✓ Retirees
Some of the friendliest faces on this mountain are on their second (or third) career. Work a little, ski a lot.
✓ Seasonal workers & outdoor enthusiasts
Summers on the trail, winters on the chairlift. Make Great Divide your cold-weather home base.
WHY WORK AT GREAT DIVIDE
The best office in Montana has a chairlift to it
We’re a locally owned, community-run mountain. “Community. Fun. Affordable.” isn’t a slogan we hang on the wall — it’s how we treat our crew.
Ski all season long
Your season pass comes with the job. Catch first chair before a swing shift, take a quick lap on your break, and never miss a powder morning again. (Plus season passes for your family as well depending on hours worked!)
Employee perks
Free skiing all season, deals on food and rentals, ski days at other Montana Ski Areas, and friends-and-family perks worth bragging about.
Training provided
Most position starts with hands-on training in November — safety, guest service, and the skills for your department. Show up curious; we’ll handle the rest.
FIND YOUR DEPARTMENT
Six crews. One mountain. Where do you fit?
Every application goes through the same quick form — pick the crew that sounds like you, and we’ll take it from there. No resume required.

HOW HIRING WORKS
From application to first chair
Here’s how a winter at Great Divide comes together.
1 · YEAR-ROUND — Apply anytime
Applications are accepted all year. It takes about ten minutes online — no resume needed.
2 · OCTOBER – NOVEMBER — Primary hiring
Most interviews and offers happen in fall. We’ll talk about the departments and schedule that fit you.
3 · NOVEMBER — Training begins
Meet your crew and learn the ropes — safety, guest service, and your department’s skills, hands-on.
4 · WHEN THE SNOW FLIES — Winter kicks off
The season starts as conditions allow — and Great Divide is often one of the first hills in Montana to open.
Missed the fall window?
Apply anyway — crews grow mid-season, and we keep every application on file.
