At Great Divide Ski Area, we use fencing, padding, equipment covers, poles, signage, cones, rope, and other marking devices to help identify potential obstacles and hazards.
Important Notice:
🚧 These marking devices WILL NOT protect you from injury.
⚠️ Not all obstacles or hazards will be marked or padded.
🚫 The presence of marking devices does not guarantee that all potential hazards have been identified.
Your Responsibility:
- Stay aware of your surroundings and actively avoid obstacles, hazards, and marking devices.
- Do not rely solely on signage or markers—natural and man-made hazards exist across the mountain, both on and off marked trails.
- Ski and ride in control at all times, as required by Your Responsibility Code and Montana State Law.
- Respect all closures and warning signs—they are in place for your safety.
By skiing or riding at Great Divide Ski Area, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of mountain sports, including but not limited to variable terrain, changing snow conditions, and the presence of natural and man-made hazards.
