COVID-19

March 23, 2020

From: Travis Crawford, President, The Great Divide Skiing Company, Inc.

Dear Great Divide Skiing Community,

In alignment with the latest COVID-19 guidance from the CDC, Federal Government, and Lewis & Clark County, we have made the decision to halt operations until further notice.

Once the COVID-19 situation begins to lessen, we have several contingency plans developed that will allow us to reopen this spring. At this point we do not have a timeline available, but we are hopeful that we will see lifts turned back on sometime in April, snow permitting.

Great Divide has long been known for the longest ski season in Montana, often skiing into May.  We hope to continue this tradition again this year. We will continue to evaluate our operating plan weekly and will provide updates as the situation changes.

We will provide updates at they become available. For the most up to date information please follow us on Facebook, our website, or subscribe to our email list at skigd.com.

We hope to see you back on the slopes sometime in April.

Thank you for your understanding,

Travis Crawford

GD COVID Letter 3-23-20 Update

March 16, 2020

From: Travis Crawford, President, The Great Divide Skiing Company, Inc.

Dear Great Divide Skiing Community,

In alignment with the latest guidance from the CDC, Federal Government, and Lewis & Clark County, we have made the decision to temporarily halt operations until Monday, March 23rd.

As a management team, we have been struggling over the last several days to determine the best course of action during this difficult time.  We have come up with a variety of creative ideas to continue operations while remaining in alignment with the rapidly changing recommendations surrounding COVID-19.

However, as the COVID-19 Pandemic recommendations have evolved, it has become apparent that the most responsible course of action is to temporarily halt lift operations. We understand that this is a personal decision that many will question, and many will applaud. Please know that we have not made this decision lightly, and after consulting with experts, we believe that this is the most prudent way to protect our guests and staff.

Great Divide has long been known for the longest ski season in Montana, often skiing into May.  We hope to continue this tradition again this year. We will continue to evaluate our operating plan weekly, with the next update coming Monday, March 23rd.

We will provide updates at they become available. For the most up to date information please follow us on Facebook, our website, or subscribe to our email list at skigd.com.

We hope to see you back on the slopes in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your understanding,
